Today's assignment: 


1.  Take double-sided notes on Medieval life.
       Left Side:  Important Topics, Terms, Events            Right Side:  Definitions, Details, Reflections
      
         a.  Agricultural Revolution

         b.  Manorial System

         c.  Life of peasants

         d.  trade and growth of cities

         e.  Life in Medieval Cities


2.. Homework:   Write  a journal entry from the POV of a European Peasant describing how life has changed after moving to a city.  (minimum of 3 paragraphs)


3.  Use primary-source documents (use the links above, may research on your own also)
     to analyze the cultural achievements of the Middle Ages.
    Find a document related to the following topics.  (minimum of 3 topics/documents)
     a. revival of trade
     b.  rise of cities
     c.  medieval universities
     d.  medieval art and architecture
     e.  medieval literature

Source, context, and summarize each document.  Look for facts that contradict the image of "Dark Ages".
