Today we went on an imaginary archeological dig.  Each group of students chose 6 artifacts to "discover".  They listed/named the artifacts and then classified them.  They gathered (or made up) information about the artifact such as; where was it found, what was it made of, uses, indication of life as hunter/gatherer or agricultural, town or village, etc.  After naming and classifying the artifact, they had to create two questions that they have and need answered about the artifact.

Welcome to 2013 - 2014 AP World History.
On this site you will find a copy of the syllabus as well as lessons from class.
Helpful links will be added from time to time.  Please use this site to keep up when you are absent.
The first week went very well.  We've taken notes on the history of early man.  You should be aware of the terms archeology, anthropology, paleolithic, neolithic, agricultural society, pastoral society and urban society.  In the text book, we've read pages 6 - 22.  We watched a video from United Streaming and wrote a 2 paragraph synopsis sequencing the developments of early man.  (hunter/gatherer to urban society)
